Aren't those cute?!!
I made these for my husband's niece. I saw her once when she's just a newly born, so I made these in a small size. Recently I met her again, and she's already bigger than I thought. huff.. I think I should make one pair of these once again ;b

My mother in law saw these when she came over and tell me that I should make a lot of these. Make it in different colors, design and a good packaging box. She said that I can sold it as a newborn baby gift. Many of my friends and cousin just giving birth lately. It's a good timing! Good idea too!!

This is my crochet practice sample. I usually give this pattern for my student in crochet class. It's quiet easy, but comes in a unique result. If you make a lot of these in a good color combination it'll make a beautiful afghan blanket or cushion or even tablecloth. I made this for one of my client. She chose the yarn and model, and then I made my own design based on that. I add a removable big flower. It can be use as a brooch. The pearls make it more feminine and elegant.

enterlac case

My final attempt in learning and making enterlac.
It's not as hard as I thought it before.
This is my third time trying to make this stuff.
I made this for my external hard disk case.
I like to learn some new techniques but in the same time it will be nice if I can make something useful from it too.
This is the final product of my "learning by doing process".

Fun Knitting class

This is what I called a fun knitting class. This is one of my workshop that I've done. It was on Festival Rajut Indonesia that held on July 2011. In this session I had 5 students. Most of them are older than me, but that's okay, because somehow we felt really comfortable with each other. Chat like girl friends, discussed the difficult pattern or just laughed about jokes. Those three full hours felt like just several minutes.

Recently I'm opening my own knitting class here near my house. It is fun giving your knowledge to one another. Not only me giving them a lesson,but in fact they're giving much more to me. I got to know many people, many type of learning process, unique knitting technique, discovering a knitting prodigy, etc.

With these classes I've got more and more experience along the way. I hope that one day I can publish my own Indonesia knitting book for Indonesian knitting freak like me ^_^.

The problem that I found these days is that not many Indonesian knitting books were really appealing. I mean, they are really qualified in content but they're not really good in the case of layouts and photos. So as a graphic designer slash knit slave, I really want to contribute my knowledge to others by giving them a really well design knitting books, in Indonesian languae of course.

I made this for my friend. She really likes totoro, one of japan most famous cartoon character. I bought the yarn in bandung.
I found it really hard to get good quality knitting yarn in indonesia. Unlike in other countries, US or UK, Indonesian yarn doesn't have any particular kind, measurement, gauge or laundry note in it when you buy it. You have to imagine or even guess in your head how the fabric will become when being knitted.

My mission is to supply good quality yarns with theirs complete information. Hope I can realize it someday, soon ^_^
Helping knitters in Indonesia to enjoy knitting. Giving space, information, books, supply of tools and yarns. There will also be cakes and teas too!! Introducing my future knit cafe, "Kafe Rajut".

Shawlette

This is my second lace pattern project.
It's something simple,but you should pay an extra attention with your stitches amount if you want to succeed.
I was almost give up when doing this shawl, because this pattern got stuck in the middle.
And then I ask my friend who is a master in lace knitting, and then she told me that this pattern has a correction from its publisher in the internet.
OH MY GOD, I shed my blood and tears in this project until almost 2 days, and suddenly i've been told that the pattern was WRONG.
Luckily i don't have to repeat all of my work.
And finally finished it in the third day.
Fiuuhhh what a 'BIG' project T_T

Pearie and Appie

This is a story about a true friendship of Pearie and Appie.
These two unique creatures share their dreams and hopes together.
Keep trying everyday to make their own sanctuary.
They have mixed up their capabilities with their hobbies, resulting a very strange but harmonic duo.

This forest is too large for both of them.
They're only little creatures, you can see it obviously.
Only about one or two inches tall, green and blushed ;b
They could get lost in their way.
But don't worry, their have this unpredictable potential, that ready to be revealed sooner or later. Time will tell.
Let's just see them walking step by step, growing bigger day by day, until they can really be in the middle of the jungle and you can see them shine ^_^

"Room of fame"

Actually, maybe it's better if I said "box of fame" because it is originally a part of my bookshelf ^o^

I have this fetish for seeing many books standing side by side in a bookshelf. Not for reading it (well sometimes i do), but for seeing it =)
I don't have too many books since i move in to this room. I've sent most of it back to my mom house.
So right now I have some spare space in my bookshelf.
Thought it would be a waste if I'm not doing anything with it, I have this idea of putting my newest knitting stuff in it.
Almost like a mini gallery, for myself or anybody that comes into my room.
And it works! Most of people will always look into this mini gallery when they enter my room.
It is really exciting having people come into your room just to see your newest piece and saying their thought about it.
It makes me want to make more and more new project.
It gives me a new spirit every time people praising my effort in making these stuff.

Green Today

First I'm not sure about what I'm gonna made this time.
In the middle of the knitting process, I got stuck, unravelled it, and cast it on again from the beginning T_T
Quite stressful I can admit, but after a few trial and error, finally I got it right.
And it's not as bad as I thought it could be in the first place.

Anyway, this is my new project, coming from cotton yarn combined with pearl beads, some tears, and a pinch of hope ;b
VOILA!
Here it is, a beautiful, stylish and casual green necklaces.

the color should be olive green.
I think it's due to technical problem, or maybe it's just me who can't take good pictures =)

Hi hi hi, it's me, posting my new project that had been quite for a several weeks.
Up until now I've made several knitted and crocheted flower to sell and give to my friends. Soon i will post the pictures, but right now I've got only my new OWL hat that I've knitted for 2 days in a row (my eyes quite swollen because of it). My bad habit, not making any proper documentation of my projects. But I'm trying to, up until now. :)

This is one of my special designed hat. I you are a knitting freak like me, maybe you have seen it somewhere. I remake it with my own pattern. this is for my friend. She ordered it a week ago. hope she like it, and want to purchase some more from me. I can sell the pattern too if you want to ;b (blink blink) hehehe

Home sweet home

Hei very very very very long time no see...

I have been preparing for my leaving from UK. I'm going home to Indonesia for good now. I live in Bandung, a city in West Java, for the time being. preparing for my next step in m life. Looking for a new job and new knitting project.

Right now I am preparing for my future dream too. I want to open a knit cafe in this town. Hope I can make it one day

In Indonesia knitting is not getting to much intention, but it will be growing soon I think. It's a tropical country with lots of culture living side by side together. Indonesia consists of many islands. I think a summer or spring collections can be adapted here. with some additional here and there. We have knitting communities too. We have our own resource of yarns too. So I think this could be one of or potential. So I will to try this knit cafe project. Cause I really love small cakes with a cup of tea and knitting yarn =)

Just wait and see my next project okay. Right now I have to prepare so many things first. Cheers!

Lace hat

This is a new project I have just finished. Because spring is coming, I'm thinking to make this fresh almost look a like beret hat. It's quite a simple pattern. I got it from the Garn Studio. They have A LOT of free pattern. This hat made from my stash which I bought also in Alexandra Palace event (Knitting and Stitching Show). I bought ten of these balls on a discount price (each balls for only 2 pounds!). This yarn called Jaeger Roma. Made of 63%, viscose, 22% nlon and 15% Angora. Really soft and comfortable. Right now they're still 5 more balls in my stash. Hoping to make some new project with it. Maybe a lace cardigan? another hat? a lace shawl?Uhmm... to many choices, I think I'll think it carefully first hehehe. I really love to knit lacy things these days. They're really beautiful!. HOpe to make another lace project. Just wait and see my next lacy projects ^_^

Owh, I almost forgot to say this.. Right now I've been busy preparing my online shop in ETSY.com
Wish me luck. When it's done, I'll let you know! I want to live my life by making things I really like and get enough money from it hahahahaha

winter wonderland

Maybe my post this time is a bit late, but that's okay. I still want to write it down, because this is the story of my first snow!! ^o^

Maybe many people have already know that there's a big snow storm in UK this week. It was a rare condition. This is the first big snow in Uk since several years ago. There's many stories spread across country from TV and radio about the snow.
I have a story about it too!

It was on the 2nd of February, the first day of snow. I have book an appointment with the Biometric Centre in Croydon that day. I'm going to extend my student visa, so I have to give my biometric data for one of the requirement. Despite of the big snow, I still can manage to go there safely. With severe transportation condition of course. For example, almost all of the train in Victoria Station(London) was suspended. Just one that could go but only to several destination. I'm supposed to be going from Victoria to West Croydon station, but because of the snow ,the only choice I had was East Croydon station. From East Croydon to the Biometric Centre I should walk for about 25 minutes in snow on a very slippery road. In normal weather it only takes 10 minutes!!
When I get there, it was closed due to the bad weather.

Hmmm.. I've thought about it in the first place, but because of everybody insisted me to try (as far as I can to get there) I still decided to go. Well.. at least I've tried my best =)
Beside of my pointless effort ;b I got a new friend! We went back to London together. We're really lucky actually. The train that bring us from Victoria to East Croydon was still there. They cancelled their further journey because of the bad weather. So we're riding the same train one way and return =)

The morale is, despite of a very unfortunate event, still there will be a good point in it. Just try the best you can do, and you'll regret nothing ^_^

P.S. Me and my boyfriend made our first snow man too. It looked like Charlie Chaplin though =D

SURPRISE !!!!!

I'm really happy this week!
First, my group assignment is doing great (because I have such a great friends). Oh, I haven't told that I'm taking two business classes right now, Starting Your Own Fashion Label and Starting Fashion Retail Business, at London College of Fashion. Last term I'm taking two other classes in Fashion Knitwear. I'm planning to have my own knit cafe in my country, Indonesia, after I finish all of my courses.

Second, I've finished my pleat bag project and finally have a new bag to wear hihihi =)

I make this with a different yarn from the pattern. I bought this yarn in clearance sale at John Lewis. It's quite cheap, I bought 4 balls of it. Owh, be the way I put all of my knitting project details in my knitting journal, http://www.ravelry.com/projects/justbemealways.

Third, I got a present from my boyfriend for our third anniversary!! A knitting tool box. It's just a simple brown box, but he made extra details in it by giving it his hand drawing and calligraph (He is a graphic designer and musician). I will put the picture here. He put it in front of my room early in the morning. I was surprised when opened my door.
In the evening he give me another surprise. he told me that he have something to do at eight so we didn't have so much time to eat dinner and didn't have time to go to my favourite Japanese shop in Piccadilly Circus T_T. We're in a rush when going to 'that place' he told me before, but suddenly we arrived in front of London Palladium. Suddenly I realized that we're gonna watch "The Sound of Music!
Wow!! what a surprise!

Hello!
This is my first 'normal' sweater (can normally be worn hehehe..)
No holes, perfectly fit, and the colour is really nice.
I made this for my boyfriend. I will give it to him on 29 of January (it's our third anniversary!!! yippie!)
I hope he like it and (this time) wear it - because the first two sweaters looked like a dress to him T_T

I got the original pattern when I was at the The Knitting and Stitching Show - Alexandra Palace last year. I told the seller that I want to make a sweater for man. He suggested me to buy the Wendy Serenity yarn. He told me to buy 7 balls of it, because it's a man sweater (Well.. looking on my past sweaters experience, I have no reason to ignore him). When I went to the cashier, I realized that they're also selling the pattern. So I told the seller that I want the patten too. I opened my wallet, prepared to pay more, but he gave me the pattern for free. Lucky ^_^ (or is it always free ?)
